Lets talk diapers

Being that my oldest son has a condition that makes his skin extremely sensitive, and also constantly peeing, I like to think myself a diaper queen. After the sitting age we never really had issues with diapers leaking, but he was still sensitive to anything but huggies and pampers. And in case you didn't know, huggies run a little smaller than pampers and my kids are fat. I mean FAT (breast milk for the win) I think when my oldest was around 15 months we could finally start using generic diapers, he had outgrown his sensitivity for the most part. And my youngest has always used any diapers we bought without issue. Now that they're both in the same diaper size, it takes a little stress off of me.

In this house, between breast milk poops, and bladder exstrophy pee we go through 250+ diapers in 6 weeks. That is A LOT of money on diapers. So I try o buy generic for the most part. But every once in a while target has their buy two get a gift card sale and I have cartwheel and coupons. So I splurge a little.

Like today. I had two huggies coupons, target had a buy two get a $10 gift card, and I used my red card that got me an extra 5% off. All in all I spent about $32 on 224 diapers. Which is just over 0.14 a diaper. That is ALRIGHT in my book.

Always check the diaper count on the package. We used to buy pampers baby dry because they had the highest count. But the huggies snug and dry have an even higher count for the same price. More bang for your buck. Diapers with the wetness line are notoriously more expensive. And for the most part, although they're cute and cuddly, those diapers have no purpose after so long. You just KNOW by the way the diaper looks that it's full.
Let me say that I absolutely LOVE pampers diapers. I think they work amazingly well and I love the designs, but today huggies won me over with the sale and coupons.
